The movable point blade (2) is planed to fit against a rail (4) of modified cross-section. It may be supported on an extension to a bearing block assembly (3,9,10) when in contact with the rail and is supported on a single roller (6) or pair of rollers when moved away from the rail. The roller axle is held by two carriage blocks (5) which are bolted (11,12) to the support. Each block has a flat bottom surface (7) and a flat top surface (8) divided into broad and narrow regions by cutouts in the region of the bolt.
