The holding component for a hose clamp (1) has two spaced apart ring-form clamp defining members (8,9) which are interconnected by two pockets displaced in relation to one another by 180 degrees. One pocket (7) is double the size of the other (6). The smaller pocket has approximately the thickness of a ring-form member. The ring-form members are the same in construction. The smaller pocket protrudes over the ring-form members by half their thickness.
