Hand tool for the removal of surface algae from ponds

A hand-held tool removes algae from small ponds and standing water. The hand-tool consists of a rod (1) with an elongated array of V-shaped loops (3). The rod is rotated as it sweeps the surface water, picking up algae thread. The tool further has an elongated groove which guides a knife blade for removal of the collected algae.
