Motor vehicle remote keyless entry (RKE) access system comprises a radio transmitter or key (2) and a radio receiver (3). The former has two carrier frequencies within the ISM (industrial, scientific and medical) band and is configured as an FSK transmitter. The receiver is configured as an ASK receiver and has two receiving channels that are matched to the two transmission channels. The frequencies of the two channels are widely separated within the ISM band.
