Method for increasing the accuracy of machining processes, especially for use with mass-produced workpieces in which machining data is measured, evaluated and used for correction of the machining process. To correct the machining process functional links between operating valves of at least one control parameter and dimensional alterations in a workpiece are calculated and output for further processing. The invention also relates to a corresponding unit for carrying out the method.
