Filter comprises an adsorption layer (22) with hot-melt-type adhesive threads charged with particulate absorbent and a three-dimensional net. The absorbent minimally adheres to the threads. The weight ratio of the threads to the absorbent is 2-20, preferably 8-10 wt.% and the specific absorbent weight per m2 flow surface and per mm thickness of the adsorption layer is 100-500 g/m2.mm. An independent claim is also included for a process for the production of the filter.
