A crankcase (16) ventilation has a pressure control valve (13) with a flame trap (14). Starting from the crankcase, blow-by gases that have escaped from an internal combustion engine's combustion chambers are carried away via a pipe (11) into an intake section (12). The flame trap fits directly in front of an intake manifold in an area between the crankcase and the intake section.
