Environmental surface impurity sampler raises samples through central tube surrounded by second down-pipe directing ring jet at surface

A sampling device (1) traps loose contaminants (19) or substances in surface pores. The sampler has a concentric tubular pick-up that directs a jet air flow via an annular tube at the surface, and draws contaminants (15) from the surface via the central tube (2). The sampling inlet is surrounded on all sides by a curtain (9). The sample inlet is surrounded by a ring of air outlets at sufficient distance. The sample further has spacers which maintain an adequate distance between the inlet and surface, which void is filled by an air vortex. The sampler may be linked to a metal detector and Geiger counter.
