The vehicle seat holding device (1) comprises a ground plate (3) supporting two pairs of holders (5, 5', 6, 6'). Two guide rails (4, 4') are each fixed between a pair of holders using four joints. The joints are positioned such that a gap (A) is formed between the guide rails and a slope is formed between at least two of the joints. The vehicle seat is then attached to these joints. The first pair of holders (5, 5') are movable relative to the ground plate to allow adjustment of the gap (V) between the rail and ground plate. The second pair of holders (6, 6') each comprise a carrier which is slideable along a base rail to adjust the gap (A) between the guide rails.
