A receiver (7) has a first optical wave-guide (FOWG) (8) made from a material with electro-optical or magneto-optical properties. A transmitter (3) has a system (4) for local application of an electrical/magnetic field to the FOWG, which along with this application system fit on first and second elements so that the system moves along a lengthwise section of the FOWG. An independent claim is also included for a method for transmitting interrelated measurement data between a computer tomography device's rotating and stationary parts.
