The temperature compensation method is provided by elastic deformation of the cylindrical resonator wall (1) by the same absolute amount in 2 perpendicular directions at one or more points along its axial length by application of tension or compression forces. Also included are Independent claims for the following (a) a temperature compensation device for a cylinder resonator with dual-mode application; (b) a cylinder resonator with temperature compensation.
