The suspension, especially for an exhaust system of a motor vehicle, has the upper section (42) of a third elastomer component (41) connected by a rib (34) to a second elastomer component (31) by its opposite lying sides (45,45'). A second means of fastening (44) for the fastening of a second object is located in the lower section (43) of the third elastomer component. Each rib is formed at least partially from elastic material and when the suspension is in operation is subjected exclusively to a compressive/thrust load between the first and second object.
