The unfolded box has two substantially parallel, square or rectangular side wall parts (5, 6) with lateral edge regions which are joined together via edge folds with fluting (9, 10). At least two spaced apart base parts (15) are provided between the side wall parts and each base part is pivotally connected to at least one of the side wall parts via its middle region in between the edge folds. The base parts lie on the inside of the top and bottom regions of the folded box. The base parts have a substantially round or oval shape and support the box side walls, which have the same round or oval shape.
