The method involves a container to receive a product which is transferred over an air-tight dozier unit e.g. a gate (4) into a product line (5) subjectable to fluid. The pressure of the fluid and/or the product flow rate over measuring points (M1, M2) is determined. Actual values of the flow rate and the pressure are given in advance and desired flow rate values are compared. The metering unit independent of the pressure and/or flow rate target is measured.
