A storage device (28) stores data from detected status parameters to be transmitted by a device to an external data-processing/-recording device remote from a person's/animal's body. A source (20) of power can be recharged via an interchangeable storage battery (22). Part of the storage device can be removed from a body function measurement device together with the battery.
