The clamp head has two opposing clamp levers (9,10) displaced via a pair of drive eccentrics (6,7) with a 180 degree offset, operated by an electric drive motor (4) with a variable revs, for obtaining a cyclic movement allowing venting of the welding gases during welding via the laser welding head (16).
