Punch bag has an outer material layer enclosing shock absorbing material (18) with a support element (19) for a sensor arrangement (21) for measuring the force applied by punches or kicks impacting on the bag. The sensor arrangement has at least one acceleration sensor (46, 47) for measuring the acceleration of the support element.
