The front axle transverse stabilizer has a torsion spring rod along the transverse extent of the vehicle and is torsioned by a displaced upwards and downwards movement of the wheels. Rods (2) are connected to the levers (1.2) of the transverse stabilizer. The transverse stabilizer is fitted on the end wall in the engine compartment. The torsion spring rod is rigidly connected via the lever and rods to a bracket (5.1) on the axle housing (5) which lies beneath the lower end of the spring strut.
