A shield processing structure includes ultrasonic generator for generating ultrasonic vibration for applying to pair of resin members that clamps and compress part(s) of a flat shielded cable (1) in a state that a ground wire is interposed between the cable and resin member so that insulating outer jacket(s) is melted and scattered and to form a contact portion connecting a conductor of the ground wire and the grounding wire-use contact. A shield processing structure comprises shielded cores (4), each has core (2) covered with an insulating inner jacket. A conductive shield cover member covers outer peripheries of the shielded cores and has a grounding wire-use contact portion (6a) and an insulating outer jacket (7) for covering an outer periphery of the shielded cover member. A pair of resin members includes joining surfaces and recesses, respectively. When the joining surfaces of the resin members are abutted against each other, the recesses formed a hole corresponding to outer shape of a cable. An ultrasonic generator generates ultrasonic vibration. The ultrasonic vibration generated from the generator is applied to the pair of resin members, which clamps and compress at the cable in a state that a ground wire is interposed between the flat shielded cable and one of the resin members, so that the insulating outer jacket is melted and scattered and to form a contact portion connecting a conductor of the grounding wire and the grounding wire-use contact portion. An independent claim is also included for a method of processing a flat shielded cable comprising clamping the flat shielded cable between the pair of resin members; interposing the grounding wire between the flat shielded cable and the resin member; and applying ultrasonic vibration across the pair of resin members.
