Testing system for electrical conductors that are placed in screens, especially motor vehicle glass windscreens, whereby a voltage is applied to the conductors (3) and conduction of a current in each conductor is tested for using an inductive sensor. To test a whole heater system the number of induction current peaks is counted as a sensor is scanned over the parallel wires of the heater. The number of peaks is compared with the expected number that corresponds to the number of heater wires.
