The components of the housing (2, 3, 4.1) of the heating system can either be partly pre-assembled or built around a stationary part of the vehicle in a first step. A module (5) containing more functional parts like a mixer unit, can be inserted into the space formed by the housing elements (2, 3, 4.1) in a second step if necessary. More modules (5) can be added or exchanged for existing ones if required.
