A retractable lens tube has a rear support (51) holding a rear optical element with recess (51h) for a retractable holder (6) with second optical element (LG2) adjustable along the optical axis up to a stop and position guide (21a) controlling the oblique radial backward holder movement to minimise contact of the holders during retraction.
