The air-conditioning system with a cold material condenser (1) incorporates a heat exchanger (2) with flattened tubes (5) with corrugated ribs (6). It has a collection pipe (3) leading to a collector (4) via two openings (7,8). The collector consists of a vertical pipe (9) with a perforated plate (17) at the bottom to support solid cold material (18) and a perforated plate (19) at the top with a loading spring (20) pressing on a fixed top perforated plate (21). The fixed perforated plates are held in position by small inward projections (16,22) in the walls of the vertical pipe.
