An improved design of air conditioning for a vehicle has the connecting hoses to the heat exchanger (13) positioned between the heat exchanger and the blower (111). The hoses are further positioned in the lower flow (R2) part of the air duct to minimise the effect on the air flow and to maximise the efficiency of the air conditioning unit. The output flow from the centrifugal blower has the higher airflow speed near to the outer wall (112) of the air duct, and a reduced flow rate on the side of the air duct away from the outer wall, where the hose connections are sited. The connecting hoses are further shielded under the inner flange of the spiral blower housing.
