The method involves implementing control logic and system model logic on a reconfigurable identical operating system. The control logic is adapted to output a control command signal for run control of a system in agreement with an operating status. The system model logic is adapted to carry out a simulation action that simulates a system action status and to output a run status signal indicating the action status. The method involves implementing control logic (11) and system model logic (21) on a reconfigurable identical operating system, whereby the control logic is adapted to output a control command signal (gamma) required to carry out run control of a system in agreement with an operating status. The system model logic is adapted to carry out a simulation action on receiving the control command signal that simulates an action status of the system and to output a run status signal (beta) indicating the action status.
