The panel(1) comprise at least two rigid foam plates(10,20) joined together at their adjacent surfaces(11,21) with an adhesive(2). Adhesion is enhanced by roughening at least one surface(11,21) of each plate(10,20). Plates are bonded together with their edges offset(3) by 15mm. The rectangular plates are 20-100mm thick and preferably 1250x600mm. One or both outer surfaces(12,22) of the composite panel(1) are embossed or profiled. A third plate may be bonded between the first two plates. Adhesive tapes or similar joining material may be located along the side edges of the plates.
