The apparatus (10) to receive, transmit and/or store at least part of the energy from waves, which affect gravity, has two bodies of a material which is non-conductive for an electrical current. From top to bottom there is a 6 mm thick plate of red hard PVC (11) with a polyimide film (11A) adhering to its under side, a woven ring (12) of copper wire with a diameter of 0.5 mm and a mesh width of 1 mm, a 100 mm thick plate (13) of polished Indian red granite, a further and similar woven copper wire ring (14), a 20 mm thick plate (15) of pure white marble with a 0.025 mm thick polyimide film (15a) adhesive bonded to the under side, a further similar woven copper wire ring (16) and a 6 mm thick red PVC plate (17). The assembly is energized by electrodes at a gap from the first body, using a high direct voltage of 5-20 kV.
