The electromagnetic relay has a plate section (18c) coupled to at least one side of a yoke (14) and in which a movable contact connector (1) is formed that is joined to the yoke at one or more points by flush riveting. A movable contact spring (16) is coupled to the surface of the plate section facing away from the yoke. The flush riveting is achieved by inserting a protrusion (14a) on the yoke into a recessed hole formed in the plate section and compressing the upper side of the protrusion to increase its diameter so that the plate section is held against the yoke.
