The method for setting the pressing force between two friction coupled torque transferring components of a drive system, especially between a winding cable or similar and a cone pulley pair of a cone pulley wound drive with continuous transfer torque variation, whereby the pressing force is determined from at least a predetermined control value and control output value. The former is determined from at least one operating parameter of the drive system, while the latter is determined by comparison of a measurement actual value with a set value for the operating parameter. An independent claim is included for a corresponding drive train device.
