The roller seat for a rowing boat has a seat surface formed by a stretch textile in a base-free manner and over a large surface in the area of pressure points of the buttocks of the rower. The necessary tension frames for the stretch textile are formed from wood or shaped plastic. Between an outer tension frame (1) and an inner tension frame (2), both made of plywood, two textile surfaces (3) are stretched and additionally fixed by screws. An effective clamping of the seat textiles between the inner and outer frames is achieved by the inner frame being sawn out of the outer frame.
