The platform body (2) for a lorry (1), trailer or semi-trailer has stanchions (6) spaced around the edges of the load surface (3) to form a platform gate (7) encompassing the load surface. The individual stanchions are each fixed in a separate mounting in the edge section of the platform surface and the mountings allow an adjustment of the stanchion fixing points for positive securing of the load. The adjustment is enabled by a cut out section in the load surface in which each individual mounted is movable.
