A broad band sound absorber, for fitting onto sound absorbing walls, acoustic chambers etc., is assembled from a number of slotted plates to form a honeycomb structure. The cells of the structure have varying depth with the bottom ends closed by tilted plates to form trapezoidal inner profiles. The bottom plates are slotted for a self cleaning effect in rain and are attached to the cross plates. To prevent the assembly rattling some of the slots are slightly wave shaped.
