The firework rocket (10) has a solid fuel motor (16) with a nozzle (18) at one end through which a fuse (23) extends to be ignited. there is a further fuse (33) at the opposite end to the nozzle. The motor and nozzle can be mounted in an expulsion housing (13) and the free ends of both fuses (23,33) can be positioned outside the expulsion housing.
