The dry construction hammer has a hammer head consisting of one component, whereby the hammer head half for the face (2) has an especially long and especially narrow form, and the claw (6) side having a special splitter with a cutting edge and a general purpose tool. The hammer head is forged from special steel, hardened and tempered and coated with black water enamel, and the claw side is hardened. The handle is made of ash or hickory wood, steel tube or fibreglass, and the head is secured by a fixing pin of spring steel.
