Monitor system, to measure the exhaust gas from an internal combustion motor, comprises a portable unit within a housing. Two probes in the exhaust gas channel in front of the catalyst are linked to the monitor by two channels. The monitor is linked to a controller area network bus system, for the measurement data to be passed onwards for further processing. Monitor system (5), to measure the exhaust gas from an internal combustion motor (2), comprises a portable unit within a housing. Two different probes (4) in the exhaust gas channel in front of the catalyst (3), with different characteristics, are linked to the monitor by two channels, for their measurements to be passed to a measurement/control unit. The monitor is linked to a controller area network (CAN) bus system (6), for the measurement data to be passed onwards for further processing (7).
