A buffer is fastened to the rails via brake elements. At least one reinforcing rail (32-38) is located on one side of the rails (16) and parallel to them. Reinforcing elements, e.g. boards (40), are contained in compartments between the track sleepers (22) below neighboring rails, and are connected to track and reinforcing rails via screws (42).
