The Achilles tendon protection is formed by raising the rear area (2) of the boot so that it overlaps with the Achilles tendon protection pad (1) worn at the back of the leg. The raised area is inclined backwards to provide sufficient freedom of movement. Pressure-resistant and flexible plastics strips (3) are incorporated in the protection.
