As the window (2) is closed the motor which drives a positioning element can be controlled through a timer which after a time interval switches on an intermediate stop of the motor. At the start and end of the intermediate stop an acoustic and/or optical signal transmitter is switched on at least until reaching the end position of the window. The timer has an adjusting element for adjusting the time interval of an intermediate stop of the closing movement. The individual elements are integrated in a compact module (13).
