The piston rod guide unit (3) of a fluid-operated power cylinder (2) has a guide housing (15) upon which are rotatably mounted several guide rollers which in at least one guide zone can roll on the outside circumference of a four-sided guide section of the piston rod (12). In at least one guide zone, a respective guide roller by its circular cylindrical outer circumference lies full-faced on each of the four side faces of the guide section. The rotational axis of the guide roller extends parallel to the guide section's side face contacted by the roller.
