The device for the opening and closing of bottles combines a bottle top lifter, bottle top former, and a device for the rotating of screwcaps. The bottle top lifter is a component (1) with an edge (5) which partially grips under the lower edge of crown corks, whereby the edge when lifting the crown cork grips several creases so that these are not deformed in their longitudinal direction. The bottle top lifter has a recess (2) which completely accommodates the crown cork, and has another recess offset to the side and with a height which is the same as or greater than the height of a crown cork, forming a gripping edge.
