The valve component assembly has an internally threaded recess (12) which is cylindrical with a flat bottom surface (14). Into the recess is screwed an externally threaded connector which is installed to rotate on a pipe (15) which has a radial flange (16) on its end to make contact with the bottom surface of the recess. A metal sealing ring is installed between the bottom surface of the recess and end face of the threaded connector and has a sealing layer consisting of an elastomer material applied to its outer and/or inner circumferential edge.
