The basic device (1) is a small helical spring (2) with is windings (3) positioned close to one another. When the spring (2) is pulled at both ends (12, 13 gaps (5) are formed between the windings (3), to be used for the accommodation of small strands of hair in order to fasten the spring (2) to the hair of the user when the spring (2) is released. Larger windings (6) are located at intervals (4) between the regular ones (3), forming loops suitable for joining ornamental objects or small strands of hair (9) to be added to the original hair of the user.
