The multiple position linear actuator has a housing (12) containing two drives (13a,b) having respective pistons (18a,b) with piston rods (19a,b) and which are movable with respect to each other so that they have independent drive movements. The housing has opposing chambers to receive the pistons and receivers (22a,b) to receive valve components controlling the respective pistons.
