Training apparatus is particularly for running training and has a frame (1), on which, with space from the ground, is a practice location accessible for a training person. The floor spacing of the practice location is divided by at least one intermediate stage (7), which can be moved out of the frame and back into it again. The frame has a sub-frame (3) fitted on support feet (5), under which the intermediary stage can be moved inwards. The intermediary stage, in relation to the frame, is tippable around a horizontal axis. The frame has two longitudinal guides (9) flanking the intermediary stage, on which the front end area of the intermediary stage is pivotably and movably accommodated.
