The toilet brush (1) is designed as a stick-shaped handle (2) with a grip (3) at the top and a bristle head (4, 9) at the lower end. The bristle head (9) is provided with bristles (5) across one of its lateral surfaces and around its lower side for being guided along the inner surface of the bowl. The opposite lateral area has a plane surface (15) with particularly long bristles (6) positioned in an acute angle in relation to the shaft (2) facilitating a thorough cleaning of the space under the rim. A third bunch of bristles (7) is joined in a straight line along the lower shaft area to be slid along the outer surface of the inner rim.
