The bicycle frame (01) has a bearing element (06) in the region of the rear wheel fork pointing towards the bottom bracket bearing and upon it is fastened a spring element (05) which provides spring support for the rear swinging fork (02) in relation to the frame. The bearing element has two brackets which lying opposite to one another are fastened to the two fork tubes of the rear wheel fork. The center plane of the two brackets extends upwards parallel to the vertical axis of the frame. An independent claim is included for a rear swinging fork with two brackets fastened to the fork tubes of the rear wheel fork.
