The glass wash basin to be fixed by a flanged edge on a worktop (10) comprises a bowl like body (1) without flanges whereby the flanged edge is formed by a collar (20) stuck by adhesive (25) to the basin wall to form the support device which projects over the circumference of the basin. The collar can contain one or more sufficiently stiff flat material strips stuck onto the top surface (2) of the basin.
