The mounting for the detachable fastening of holding rod (17) for especially a child's tricycle has a housing (40) in which is fitted one end of the holding rod in which is formed a hole (45) for the engagement of a locking protrusion (42). An operating device is provided by which the locking protrusion can be disengaged from the hole. The operating device has an operating protrusion which is inserted into the hole against spring force. The operating protrusion is installed on an operating arm which is movable at right angles to the longitudinal extent of the holding rod. An independent claim is included for a child's tricycle with the proposed mounting.
