The spindle extension (1) for assembly supports (3) in motor vehicle construction has a pivotably and rotatably mounted spindle shaft with end side driving and driven elements (7,8) and positive locking holders for the connection to a rotational drive (15) and nut. The spindle extension has a spring-loaded centering mounting of the spindle shaft. The centering mounting has a spindle-symmetrical circumferential side cone on the spindle shaft, and a stationary mating cone with a central through-hole for the spindle shaft as well as a spindle spring tensioning the cones.
