A transportable show stage has a folding construction and is carried on a flat bed truck as a folded pack. The stage is lifted off the truck via telescopic extending support struts (12) and has a main frame with telescopic uprights (28) and a laterally extending floor area. The extension floor comprises two folding panels which drop onto a side extension support frame. In the transport setting the two floor panels are folded over each other. The upright frame carries an extending roof which is also erected as panels. The whole system is erected and folded using servo drives, and with a minimum of manual effort.
